A few months ago I wrapped up "Kid," a character with a pistol. I never felt that I did the pistol justice as it was really secondary to the piece when it should have been a hero object. So the purpose of this project was to build on the foundation I made a few months ago, and make it something that could potentially stand on its own and I think I completed my task pretty well if I'm being honest. The process was the same as everything else, modeling/high poly done in Zbrush/Maya, low poly made using Quad Draw in Maya, texturing in Substance Painter and final renders/presentation done in Marmoset Toolbag and Photoshop. The skins are easily my favorite part of doing weapons, the totally normal anime one might top Dino Safety Blanky for me.
