I wish I could express how happy I am with the outcome of this. Chris Herrin (absolute lad btw,) played art director for me and presented me with the challenge as well as invaluable advice throughout the entire process. The challenge was to achieve the highest quality possible within the time frame (less than a month, give or take,) and achieve a look to that of Next-Gen Consoles.
The model started in zbrush as a rough block out of the body and face, i took it into maya and that's where it stayed for most of the duration of this project. Retopology was done using Wrap3D, giving me a clean base to model the helmet and do all cloth sims necessary for the garments. I left higher frequency details to hand sculpting, and all textures were done in substance painter using scan data from Texturing.xyz.
